about

FRNT BZNZZ returns with another heater on Aloha Got Soul.

This time, the dynamic producer enlists vocalist Nick Kurosawa and label newcomer Joelene to take his track to the next level.

Not just another tender modern-boogie duet, “Was It Love” on the A-side finds Nick Kurosawa launching this 114 BPM heater with his recognizably earth-shattering voice. Alongside Kurosawa is young singer Joelene, a fresh talent whose lyrical abilities can clearly put old relationships to rest. Joelene’s vocal prowess sets the bar high with her recording debut on Aloha Got Soul.

"Was It Love" is a surefire winner for both radio waves and dance floors in 2020.

“GPS Signal Lost” on the B-side is a solid example of the myriad directions FRNT BZNZZ explores with ease. Real name Ted Deoliveira, the producer pushes his burgeoning catalog forward with the help of his uncle, Tim Tsukiyama (sax), and Jabari Prevost (Rhodes, Moog) to bring us a groove akin to balaeric boogie. “GPS Signal Lost” transports us with its chugging drum track moving steadily along with synths chords carried on the back of a funky baseline, smooth sax and cutting guitars.
